MTS Duisburg GmbH (MTS) is part of the HTS Group, a logistics service provider that offers its customers a complete package of intermodal solutions for the transport of sea containers. HTS, which stands for Heuvelman Transport Services, is a family business that has been run by the Heuvelman family for almost 100 years. As the company is passed down from generation to generation, sustainability is high on the agenda, with the idea of maintaining a liveable environment for the next generation. Within the organisation, the decision has been made to focus on three core activities:

- Storage and handling
- logistics
- Inland shipping

HTS has nine ships of its own and charters around 20 ships, mainly for transport on the Rhine between NRW and Rotterdam and Antwerp. The hydrogen-powered newbuildings are built under the German flag and are managed and operated by MTS Duisburg. Over the next 10 years, HTS plans to convert its entire fleet to hydrogen, of course only if market conditions allow.
