Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirrenno Settentrionale (ASPMTS)

Scali Rosciano, 6/7, 57123 Livorno, Italy

The Port System Authority of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea (Autorità Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Settentrionale) is the body managing the ports of Livorno, Piombino, and the Elban ports of Portoferraio, Rio Marina-Cavo, and Capraia, which together make up one of the most important Italian port poles in terms of volumes handled, production diversification, and economic value.

The port Livorno was also part of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership Study on hydrogen in ports and industrial coastal areas as case. It is well positioned to serve as a gateway for imported hydrogen and derivatives, to be further transported to the European hinterland. Moreover, it also acts as a logistical hub within the Mediterranean Sea, connecting the Middle East and (Northern-)Africa with Europe.
