Partner Introduction: DeltaPort & EcoPort813
06/02/2026 – Wesel, Germany
DeltaPort GmbH & Co. KG is an association of the Rhine-Lippe Port, Wesel City Port, and Emmelsum Port in the Voerde municipal area. Modern superstructures enable the handling of bulk, general, liquid, and heavy cargo, as well as containerized and temperature-controlled goods.

As an associated partner, DeltaPort contributes its location advantages and expertise to the CleanH2Shipping project. The DeltaPort ports are located directly on the Rhine at kilometer 813 at the entrance to the Wesel-Datteln Canal and are thus optimally connected to the ARA ports (Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam) and the entire German canal network. This makes them predestined to take over the transshipment of Hâ‚‚ swap containers in the green inland waterway transport ecosystem and to support the emission-free refueling of inland waterway vessels.

In addition, DeltaPort is working with EcoPort813 Förderverein Wasserstoff und nachhaltige Energie e.V., a support association that emerged from its own initiative, to develop supply structures for hydrogen and its derivatives. The aim is to establish a hydrogen supply chain from seaports via the Rhine and river ports to the associated inland ports and economic areas, in order to supply end consumers who are not connected to pipelines and the mobility network in particular.
